MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN PEOPLE'S LIVES

Strategic Goals

The following strategic goals have been met since 1999:

Achieved accreditation by the Ohio Department of Mental Health (2000).
Achieved membership in the Lorain County Board of Mental Health (2001).
Developed a Marketing Committee (2002).
Sucessfully marketed a change in the Center's name from, "The Samaritan Counseling Center" to "Pathways Counseling & Growth Center" (2002).
Redefined the Center's Mission Statement (2003).
Created a Center logo (a signpost pointing to two different paths; one path going to a dark destination, the other path pointing toward a more hopeful way) and a slogan: "Making a Difference in People's Lives" (2003).
Created a new Mission Statement for the Center (2003).
Developed a revised Code of Regulations (2004).
Conducted a board development project with the help of the Management Assistance for Nonprofit Agencies, Oberlin, Ohio (2004).

In addition, the Center is currently seeking national accreditation as a mental health agency from the Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (August, 2006).
